Pats Shock Jets 31-14

Dennis Wirgowski sacked Joe Namath twice in the endzone to lead the Patroits to a 31-14 victory over the heavily favored Jets at Shea Stadium today. Jim Plunkett threw for 283 yds and a TD, Carl Garret ran for 51 yds and a TD.

Week 7: Eagles 34 at Saints 27

The Kevin McCormack-led Eagles got in the win column with a victory on the road in New Orleans. The Eagle defense picked Archie Manning 4 times and recovered 4 fumbles on the way to a 34-27 win. Po James had 2 TD runs inside the redzone. Bob Gresham of the Saints also had 2 TD runs.
